What is Permanent Makeup Removal”?

Laser permanent makeup removal (PMU) uses the same technology as laser tattoo removal by using highly concentrated light pulses to shatter the tattoo pigment particles in your skin. Your body’s immune system then naturally flushes away these tiny fragments over several weeks. Different laser wavelengths target specific ink colors, which is especially important for cosmetic tattoos that often contain iron oxides or titanium dioxide. With PMU the pigments are not placed as deeply in the skin, therefore complete removal typically requires less sessions than laser removal of a tattoo. On average PMU can be removed in 1-3 sessions spaced 6–8 weeks apart, but some pigments (like yellow or white) may not fully disappear.
